Junior Achievement alumna Rhea Tuli of Chantilly High School took her JA experience to the next level by representing the United States at the first ever JA Global Alumni Conference in Vienna, Austria.
To celebrate 100 years of Junior Achievement, more than 400 Alumni from around the world gathered together in the beautiful heart of Europe from August 28 - September 1, 2019 to experience keynotes, workshops, panel discussions, start-up talks and networking sessions.

The conference took place around the campus of the world-renowned Vienna University of business and economics — a place filled with young international students and future entrepreneurs — that became the center of the global JA spirit for four days, dubbed the the JA Village.
To underline this great year of celebration, the main topics of the conference revolved around the three most important qualities of an entrepreneur: Communication, Innovation and Risk Taking.

Rhea participated in the 2018-19 JA Company Program, where she led her student-run team, Sipsy, to a first place finish at the regional JA Company of the Year Competition. The team was then selected out of 50 JA student companies from around the country to compete in the National Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C.
“The JA Global Alumni 2019 Conference in Vienna, Austria was an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to network, collaborate and participate with fellow entrepreneurs from over 40 countries and gained invaluable insights from world-renowned innovators, founders and speakers sharing their journeys, challenges and risks while taking innovation to a new level.
I feel fortunate and humbled to be the first female alumni to represent the USA at this first Global Alumni event. I benefited from the conference’s key focus on “Communication, Innovation and Risk Taking,” and it will help to further motivate me to continue my entrepreneurial quest to be creative, help the environment, and give back to the global community as I now better understand the global impact a small idea has the power to make!”
