How does the Stock Market Challenge work?

Each team receives $1 million to invest in anywhere from 20 - 50 fictitious stocks (based on real-life companies). Each trading day brings news from the financial markets, challenging participants to analyze and decide what actions (if any) they should take.

The twist? Each trading day is between 60 - 90 seconds long! With two 15-minute breaks, we simulate two months in about 90 minutes.

At the end of the competition, the closing bell rings, and student winners are recognized for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Net Worth. Adult competition winners are recognized in two categories, 1st and 2nd Net Worth, and 1st and 2nd Highest Return on Investment.
